'While they do not call for the abandonment of electronic communication, Har and Hutnyk (1999) echo Stoecker’s (2000) concern that ICT be understood in a properly instrumental way, as a tool that is useful only so long as it facilitates the movement’s efforts at social change. They conclude with a call for more reflective moments within activist practice:

"the beast of capitalism takes such forms that require more than documentation. The danger would be if the Internet encourages only an information rich, but analysis poor edification. More education is more important than more information"' Wrighjt 2001
